awesome!! people need to drive through the hard times… just when you don’t think you can do another rep, your body surprises you. (i jumped in on the TRX 40/40 challenge, unplanned and unprepared… thought i was going to die… but it was mind over matter!!!)

40/40 - Nice Work, Julia! Yup.. it’s a question of whether the mind is going to win or lose the battle and either way, the body will follow the outcome.

Wow!!! Talk about motivation!! I just saw the video and it was a great way to begin my week. It is not only a reminder of what one can do with the right motivation, but also how far I’ve come and how much more I can accomplish… Thanks for sharing!

Ali, I am a new reader, but I LOVE this film. This is a highlight of “Facing the Giants”, but what you may not know is it is based on a true story. Yes, God did give us amazing bodies and minds, to be able to do hard and great things, but HE does even more amazing, great, and miraculous things than we can even imagine. If this clip has inspired anyone, you have got to watch the whole movie. The ending is even better. Thanks for your help to me over the past months. I have been working with a trainer for 1 1/2 years now there at FX at Silo, and I lost 20 lbs. last year, but I feel like I’m just a week away from going back to my old habits, and have gotten discouraged since I haven’t seen any more weight loss this year (I still have 10-20 more to lose). I feel like I’m working harder than I ever have in my life, but the scale is not showing anything. I know I need to keep it up, because, at 54, I need to keep challenging myself to stay healthy, I just feel stalled. Thanks for your encouragement!

      Hi Joni,

I LOVE what you wrote about “miraculous things going on that are beyond us”… I couldn’t agree more! I havent’ yet, but will have to see the whole “Facing the Giants” movie. This clip was sent to me by a wonderful woman, Lisa.

Congratulations on your continued training, fitness, health and weight loss efforts (and achievements)!! That’s AWESOME. Keep at it day by day.. it will budge. I was told months ago, “that the hardest things are often the most rewarding” and that’s the darn truth! Are you measuring your progress with any other tools besides the scale? Although it’s one way to keep track, the scale can sometimes be a deceiving read on progress. Also, sometimes it’s a new variable that needs to be dialed in for a shift in your body’s response. Perhaps take a look with your trainer what you’ve been doing in the past, what worked and where you could take it from there. Above all, remember the #1 bottom line reason your doing this everyday…you’re taking care of yourself :)

Thanks again for sharing with me!

Got something to say? Go for it!
